Calibrate Coach

Calibration method

Put on your headphones. Listen to four clicks, then play one short note on each of the next 12. Repeat at the slower speed to check the result.

Input and adjustment
Raise it if Coach misses notes; lower it if it counts noise.

Use the headphones or speakers you will practice with. Play-along calibration includes your natural playing offset.

Ghost Mode

Beats follow the time signature’s outer ring. All three tracks fall silent together while the pulse keeps running. Random mode chooses new lengths each cycle. Changes apply on the next beat and begin a fresh audible section.

Enable Coach Mode too to compare your subdivision timing with sound and in silence.

Choose an input to begin.

Calibrate once per audio setup. Use headphones and Play along, or choose Measure speakers and stay quiet. Calibrate again after changing headphones, speakers or interface settings. Headphones keep the metronome from being scored as your playing.

New hits flash brightly, then join the lasting dot plot. The thin spokes mark exact subdivision targets; clockwise is late. Repeated hits stack into denser clusters. The plot stays until cleared or the timing/input changes. Timing is relative to the nearest subdivision; spread is the typical distance from your median timing. Clear attacks work best; sustained sounds and background audio can affect detection.

Each detected hit lights the dial: green is on target, yellow is close, red is outside the target. The glow fades back to neutral. Scores and green dots use the same target; missed notes are not scored. Timing targets are practice goals, not measurement guarantees.

Overall covers all hits since reset; Last 4 bars pauses when stopped. Ghost overall covers every silent-section hit; Ghost period covers the entire current or most recent silent period. Clear stats resets scores and the plot. Changing timing, target, input, or calibration also resets them.
